Understanding AI credits

Edited

Your Alpharun plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits for advanced, on-demand AI features like Ask Alpharun, Automations, and Signals. Your core call processing is always part of your plan and never uses credits, so your team can keep sending calls to Alpharun without thinking about usage.

What is my monthly AI credit allotment, and where does it come from?

Each agent license on your plan adds a set number of AI credits every month to one shared balance for your whole organization. Anyone on your team can use credits from that balance, and your allowance grows naturally as your team grows.

Included credits are part of your plan price and do not appear as a separate charge. They reset at the start of each month. You can find your exact monthly allotment and reset date on the Billing page.

Which features use AI credits?

AI credits apply to features where the amount of AI work depends on how you use them:

  • Ask Alpharun

  • Automations (excludes Weekly Coaching Notes)

  • Signals

  • AI-powered MCP and API tools that run analysis on Alpharun's side

Everything else that runs automatically on your calls is included in your plan and never uses credits. That includes transcription, grading, coaching, summaries, dashboards, and standard data access through MCP and API.

Voice Agents and Training have their own pricing and never draw from your AI credit balance.

How are credits calculated for each feature?

Credits reflect how much AI processing an action requires, so usage depends on the scope of the work rather than a fixed price per action. An automation that reviews a week of calls every day uses more credits than one that reviews a single day of calls once a week. Likewise, running more active Signals across more calls uses more credits than running a few.

Usage is always shown in whole credits, grouped by feature, so you can see where your balance is being applied to at a glance.

Where can I see my credit usage?

Go to Settings > Billing to see your included monthly credits, credits used and remaining, your reset date, any purchased credit balance, and usage broken down by feature.

Only teammates with the Editor role can view the Billing page. If you do not have access, reach out to an Editor on your team.

What happens when my company reaches its monthly AI credit limit?

Once your included credits and any purchased credits are used up, features that use AI credits pause until more credits are available. That happens when your monthly credits reset or when a credit pack is added to your account.

Your core call processing always continues, so calls keep being transcribed, graded, and coached without interruption. Your Alpharun account team is happy to walk you through your options.

How do I add more AI credits to my company?

Contact your Alpharun account team to add a credit pack to your account. A credit pack is a one-time addition of AI credits that is available as soon as it is added.

Credit packs are billed on your regular billing schedule and pro-rated to your contract term. For example, if you add a 10,000-credit annual pack with one quarter left in your contract, you are billed for 2,500 credits for that final quarter. At renewal, a full 10,000-credit pack is included alongside your licenses.

Credit packs appear separately on the Billing page, so you can see what came with your plan and what you added.

How do credit packs work?

Your included monthly credits are always used first. Credits from a pack are used only after your included credits for the month run out.

Do unused AI credits rollover?

Included monthly credits do not roll over. Any unused included credits reset at the start of each month.

Credits from a credit pack are not tied to a single month. They carry over from month to month until they are used or expire 12 months after they are added.
